Brenham Fire Museum
Built to house Samanthe, a 1923 American LaFrance type 38 truck owned by the Brenham Fire Department, it is one of only 3 left of its kind. It is also home to a 1950 American LaFrance, called the Invader. Next to the museum is a glass-enclosed building that houses the 1879 Silsby Steamer, which has been likened to a space shuttle by today's standards.
Restoration of Samanthe took place in 2004, at a cost of $90,000.
