Enjoy an authentic 1836 evening with dignitaries who declared Texas a free and sovereign nation. Mingle and dine on elegant fare of the era. Delegates came from across Texas to be part of the 1836 Constitutional Convention at Washington on the Brazos. Many others came to witness the important event. All of Washington County opened its doors to feed and house the travelers. Experience such an evening in Hickory Grove, as Brenham was called then.
